You would think that when I finish the books I am reading, that I would remember to blog about them. But alas, I am a major asshole about this. This brings me to book 11 out of 50. Let's just say that I am looking forward to this summer when I will be babysitting my nieces and sitting by the pool reading. I WILL reach my goal of 50 books, and that will have to be pursued this summer. IT WILL BE DONE. So... Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters. Decent book. I actually enjoyed it a bit more than the first book in the series. It seemed a little darker, and for some reason that made it better for me. There were also SEVERAL references to The Odyssey in it, which I thought was AWESOME - considering I taught it earlier in the year. Once again, it wasn't a challenging read and it is obviously made for adolescents and young adults. However, they'll once again be able to monopolize a movie out of it.6.04.2010
