So, I weighed myself this morning and I'm definitely at the highest weight that I've ever been. I actually went and created a weight loss page above which you can look at to see some of my "backstory".Anyway, as someone who does theatre, I have become familiar with many wonderful people who are in the industry. One of them gave me some tips known as the "Broadway Dancer Diet Secrets". Yes, I know what you're thinking - "Diets don't work!" "Do Weight Watchers because it gives you a new lifestyle" "Blahblah I am holier than thou boohoo" Well, too bad. This "diet" actually makes a lot of sense and I'll be using it as a head-start.
So, there are few rules when it comes down to the diet:
- No eating after 8pm.
- Don't eat anything white (that includes rice, bread, pasta, cheese, milk, dairy products) - This leaves you with brown rice
- Don't eat anything FRIED or with High Fructose Corn Syrup
- Eat smaller meals per day (3-4 smaller portions)
- Do some sort of cardio everyday.
- Drink 5-8 glasses of water with a little cayenne pepper sprinkled in it
So, really this leaves you with a bunch of options. I intend on eating on a schedule/eating a lot of the same things every day. They would include: salmon/tuna/grilled chicken/turkey/veggies/brown rice etc
Obviously there needs to be some food shopping done, but luckily there is a lot of stuff that I can get in bulk at Costco.
