I cannot even explain how difficult it was for me to deal with all of the TV premiers this week. On Thursday night alone, there were 9 shows that I wanted to watch between the hours of 8-11. It wasn't until Saturday that I was actually able to "complete" all of the shows that I wanted to watch. So, here are my reviews on this week's shows:Community
What an awesome season opener. It had me cracking up every minute. They also used Betty White's cameo wisely and didn't let it become the entire focus of the episode. I also loved the fact that they mocked @ShitMyDadSays and came up with @OldWhiteManSays. In fact, the creators made an actual twitter account for the name that goes back to the summer with posts. I loved it! Every character had a hysterical point of the show and I am actually extremely excited for this week's episode.
Modern Family
:) This was one of the shows that I was most looking forward to this week. Very funny episode, but some of the storylines were a let-down compared to the outrageous ones from last season. I hope the episode this week picks it up. It definitely wasn't an acting issue, but more of a writing issue in this case. Side note- I still cannot help but love Cameron and Mitchel. So good!
Glee
I know, I know. Everyone and their mother was so excited for this season premier. It was good, and it had great moments. However, I think the entire episode was under an overcast of excitement for this week's episode. BRITNEY SPEARS! I c.a.n.n.o.t. w.a.i.t. Oh, and can Lea Michele maybe gain like 5lbs? Her bony-ness is killing me! Side note- was I the only one who felt awkward during the bathroom "Telephone" scene? There were way too many personal space issues going on there.
Hell's Kitchen
I'm addicted to this show, and I have been for several seasons. I think I have a crush on Gordon Ramsay.
Grey's Anatomy
Keep in mind, I'm a huge Grey's fan. I hated this episode. I hate Yang and Owen. I hate daredevil Shepard. I didn't like the storyline of the entire thing. It sucked. The energy sucked. I really hope this week's episode redeems itself.
Fringe
I still feel like not that many people watch this awesome show. It is definitely one of my favorite underrated shows. I'm just glad they keep it on TV We can leave my humungous teen-girl crush on Joshua Jackson out of this. The season finale last season was great, and the carryover this week was great. The end of the episode had me saying, "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" It was awesome, great. I cannot wait for this week - and I may need to watch it live instead of the shows it's against. Dear writers: Please include more Joshua Jackson this week, preferably shirtless.
$@!# My Dad Says
1. I love the twitter account @ShitMyDadSays and the book.
2. The show version sucked in the worst way possible.
3. Whose idea was it to add a laughtrack every second?
Outsourced
Funny and offensive. I liked it.
My Generation
This is another show that I DVR'd and didn't get to watch until later, but I'm glad I did. I loved how the present storylines were related to the past in 2000. Actually, a lot of the structure reminded me of Jack and Bobby, another great show that only lasted for one season, but dealt with 2 settings. The characters and their relationships were interesting. I'm really interested to see how they develop it and where it goes.
Dexter
I love this show. Awesome awesome awesome premier. Michael C. Hall and the writers of Dexter never seem to disappoint. I cannot wait for this season to continue and get even more fucked up!
Boardwalk Empire
I'm from Jersey. I am in love with Michael Pitt. Therefore, I love this show.
Okay, that's enough for now. I watched a lot of other TV, but those were the shows that stuck out to me to review.
